In a world filled with so much that is bad, many have lost any hope or meaning in life. What is the purpose and meaning of life on earth?
The apostle Peter reminded his readers that “like living stones” they were “being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood” (1 Pet 2:5). The Protestant concept of the priesthood of all believers has been variously understood. We shall examine the Bible passage on the priesthood of believers to discover what it means and what it does not mean. How can this teaching strengthen the way the church functions and encourage each church member to ask what role they play in this priesthood in the light of Scripture and Wesleyan teaching and practice.
