Given his depth and breadth of work with youths\, he has been on various government advisory councils\, like the Media Literacy Council and the National Council for Problem Gambling. \nNicholas has Degrees in Psychology from not only the University of Queensland and the Nanyang Technological University\, but also various clinical and practice certificates for Youth Work Coaching and Supervision\, Choice Theory and Reality Therapy\, Adventure Therapy\, and Therapeutic Behaviour Management\, just to name a few. SUMMARY:When An End Is Not The End - Panel Discussion: AMD\, LPA\, ACP
DESCRIPTION:Date:  19 August 2023 (Saturday)\nTime:  9.00 am to 12.00 pm\nPanellists: Rev. Dr. Daniel Koh\, Dr. Peter Loke\, Dr. Shevaun Sethi\nModerator: Junie Foo\nVenue: Level 2\, Sanctuary \nLiving to a ripe old age or having a trouble-free life is what we expect God to bless us with\, but unexpected events and bad things do happen to us sometimes. Have we prepared ourselves and our families should we find ourselves in such unexpected circumstances? \nAdvance Medical Directives (AMD)\, Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)\, and Advance Care Planning (ACP) are decisions you can make now\, to save yourselves and your loved ones from some stressful decisions\, should you face such a situation in the future. \nCome hear from our panel comprising a pastor and 2 medical doctors on the various pastoral\, ethical and medical considerations surrounding the topic. \nAbout our Panellists: \nRev Dr Daniel K. S. Koh\, has a Ph.D in Ethics. Though retired\, he is a re-engaged pastor\, currently serving at Barker Road Methodist Church. He had also taught at Trinity Theological College for 17 years. It is an inevitable part of life yet poorly understood and rarely talked about\, especially in our Asian culture. The Christian faith\, however\, has something distinctive and hopeful to offer. Come and hear from spiritual leaders and medical professionals as they speak on death\, loss\, and grief. Be equipped to face the inevitable and to lend support to others. Knowing what the Bible teaches about these topics should also motivate us to live today in preparation for the hereafter. \n1 July – Theology of Death & Afterlife\n8 & 15 July – Loss & Grief\n19 August – Panel Discussion: Advance Medical Directive\n28 October – Difficult Prayers
