DESCRIPTION:An event organised by Women of Worth (WoW)\, a ministry under Christ Methodist Church Women’s Society of Christian Service. \n\n\n\n\n“All I needed to know about recovery from grief\, I learnt it at the movies.”\n\nDate: 27 June 2026 (Saturday)\nTime: 9.00 am to 1.30 pm\nVenue: Level 4\, Room 2\nSpeaker: Mr Tony Ting (retired counsellor from Wesley Counselling Services)\nCosts: $15 (WSCS members) / $20 (non-WSCS members) (event includes lunch)\nLoss is an inevitable part of life\, and grief is our emotional response to the experience of loss. Grieving the loss of someone or something we love can be a complicated process that includes intense feelings such as guilt\, anger\, emptiness\, sadness & hopelessness. The negative effects of unresolved grief can bring challenges to our routines\, health\, relationships\, work & even our faith. But amid these challenges lie opportunities for growth. \nThe one-day workshop will use movies as a catalyst to help participants move beyond loss & grief\, towards recovery. The focus of this workshop is to provide practical knowledge & tools that participants can use to work through their losses\, and/or to support others in meeting the challenges of the grieving process. \n\n\n\n\nAbout the Speaker\nMr Tony Ting is a retired counsellor who served with Wesley Counselling Service at Wesley Methodist Church for 24 years before retiring in 2023.
