Healed from compulsive shopping

I had a spending problem for many years and didn't realise it. I shopped A LOT and use my credit card – A LOT. Two years ago God decided I had to clean up because I asked to be used by Him. By then I was $40,000 or more in debt with no full time job. He gave me wisdom and physical help through friends especially when I lost the full time job after two months of working. He took me out of CMC to various churches so I could hear very specific messages that were preached. First sermon revealed the cause of my problem, the second was a sermon on how to reduce your debt. It moved me that He took all that trouble to make sure I got the message. I'm thankful for His grace and mercy and I now understand my spending addiction enough not to give in to it.

No more stiff back!

On 13 and 14 Jan 2006, my back was in pain and very stiff. On Sunday, 16 Jan 2006, I had a deep desire to be healed. During service, I felt the Holy Spirit prompt me to claim His healing touch. I knelt at the altar and prayed and Pastor Chris prayed for me and claimed healing. After that, I felt no pain. It was all gone. I stood up easily, tried bending over – no pain. God is so great! Praise God!

Baptism has changed my life!

I was baptized on 18 Dec 2005. Prior to my baptism, I was often in bodily pain and I often went for all kinds of treatments. After my baptism, I now experience more blessings than pain and aches. I like to thank God who is my healer.
 

Healing of a tear in my spinal disc

On 23 Sept 2005, I had a urine test, which revealed that there was blood in my urine. I asked the ministry team to pray for the Lord’s healing. Through their prayers, God touched and healed me. Subsequent urine tests done at Changi General Hospital showed no traces of blood. Blood tests were also done, which turned out to be normal. Finally, a cystoscopy was done, which showed that my bladder was fine.

I praise and thank God for His healing. Glory to God!
 

God asked me to stretch

On 8 Sep morning I experienced pain in my left pelvic area. The pain was getting more intense by the minute. So I prayed and the word came: “Go against the pain – give your body a good stretch.” I followed the instruction and fully stretched my body. Immediately the pain went away. I prayed and thanked God and I heard the words: “If you stay close to me, I will stay close to you.” I have no more pain now.
 

God is giving me independence from thyroxine!

For more than 30 years I have been dependent on thyroxine to combat hypothyroidism. I prayed for independence from this drug. I was hospitalised recently for acute asthma, and blood tests showed signs of a need to reduce the dose of thyroxine. Each time the specialist doctor reduced the dosage, I would have adverse reactions to my system’s functioning for just 3-4 days, and everything would be fine after that.

I am coping well, with no adverse reactions at all. I am to be reviewed in early October for another blood test, with the intention of further reducing the dose of thyroxine. I see God’s hand in this and my long-time prayer is being answered.

This experience is very real to me.
 

Backache be gone!

I had been having backache since May 2005. It got progressively worse until I had restless nights and was waking up in the mornings in pain. I went to see a doctor in August 2005 and he said it was due to a ligament problem in my back.

I asked Jessie to pray for me at the last revival meeting (Aug 2005). God seemed to have bent me over all the way till my fingers were flat in the floor. He stretched my back in this “healing exercise”. I could only bend over till my fingers were about five inches off the floor prior to this.

The backache progressively became less. I started to do these bending over exercises regularly. We drove to KL and back during the September school holidays. On the way back I realized that although I had sat for hours in the car the pain was gone altogether. Praise Him forever more!
