Healing from progressive pain in my shoulder

Mrs Oon Kum Loon, January 2005

On 20 December 2004 at Shanghai airport, I felt a sharp pain in my left shoulder when I picked up a piece of luggage. The pain lingered on. In early January 2005, I had another attack of sharp pain in the shoulder when I turned round to retrieve an umbrella on the floor at the back of my car, whilst in the driver’s seat. The pain was so bad that for a moment, I could not move the arm. From that day on, it got progressively worse.

On Sunday, 9 January 2005, when I woke up at 4.30 am, I was acutely aware of the sharp shoulder pain, and I realised that I would have difficulty carrying anything with my left arm. I was worried as I would have to travel pretty soon.

Pastor happened to preach on “The Way of Faith” that Sunday morning. He invited the congregation to seek healing from God and I responded. I placed my right hand on my left shoulder. The pain in my left shoulder eased from that very day, and I became confident enough to start using my left arm normally again. On the day of the trip, I could hand-carry my luggage without a problem. I praise God for the healing that I received.

God relieved the pain in my back

Tang Zen Sng, January 2005

In 1995, I sustained a back injury and underwent six months of physiotherapy; thereafter my back was never the same. Bearing pain daily then, I asked God for healing on many occasions. Over the years I have learned to live with some pain and recent years happy to be able to resume some form of exercise.

Some time last year, when our pastor asked during service for those seeking healing to place their right hand on the spot and seek God's healing, I did so there and then, and sought God's healing touch. At that juncture, I felt God's touch and the pain left.

Now I am very much relieved except for the occasional pain if I am not careful not to strain my back. I wish to honour God for His healing, and continue to commit my physical wellbeing to our Heavenly Father. I thank God for His goodness and blessings.

Now my heart beats normally!

Mabel Wat, January 2005

I have “Supra Ventricular Tachycardia (SVT)” i.e. my heart would start racing and beat up to 200 times per minute during attacks. This stabilized after treatment.

Before Christmas 2004, I did not have SVT, but I had frequent ectopic (“extra”) heart beats instead. The cardiologist said that I would have to live with these extra heart beats, because any medication given would only suppress the symptoms, but not treat the underlying cause.

On Sunday, 9 January 2005 when our pastor said a prayer of healing over us, I asked God to help me. Over the next few days I noticed an improvement in my condition, and by Friday 14 January 2005, I ceased to have any ectopic heart beats.

He healed my daughter’s tummy ache

Janet Chua, 2005

My six year old daughter came to me and complained that she was having a tummy ache. I decided to 'try' spiritual healing on her. With little faith, I laid hands on her and started to pray. It didn't work. However, I wasn't disappointed because honestly, I didn't expect much.

I wanted to give up and just simply rubbed some medication on her tummy. On afterthought, I decided to try prayer again. I garnered more faith and started to pray. Lo and behold, she was INSTANTLY HEALED.

Praise God! He has taught me that we don't need great faith to pray for healing.  Imagine what miracles can take place, if we can exercise more faith.

God delivered me from overwork!

Shirley Tan, 2005

Last seven days whenever I pass motion, I bled quite badly. This, I believe, is due to the stress that I am going through at my workplace. The last time my piles acted up was three years ago.

Last Sunday, when there was a healing session, I approached Ms Tan Peck Yin to pray for me. I shivered and cried and there and then I decided to quit. I felt peaceful after that.

It has been a week and I’m happy to announce that the bleeding has stopped! Praise be to God! I’d also like to thank Mrs Tan Peck Yin for her prayers.

Who needs root canal surgery when you have God!??

Irene Sng, 2005

A few months ago I had a root canal problem. I was treated twice. My dentist advised possible surgery to save extraction should the pain persist. Some three weeks later, the pain came back.

During a Sunday Service, I prayed asking God to help heal my pain – to avoid surgery and also because I could not afford the cost. While doing so, I actually did feel the pain lessen. Nonetheless, after the service, I went to the altar where Dr Spencer Lee prayed for me. Incidentally, I also had some back pain which comes on and off.

That very evening, the pain in my root canal was GONE. Though I still experience that back pain, it has lessened tremendously. Praise the Lord! I thank Dr Lee for his prayer.

Healing of a tear in my spinal disc

Yvonne, 2005

I had a tear in a spinal disc, confirmed on MRI. I was not able to bend my back. For the past 2-3 days it was better. During the revival service where pastor invited people experiencing pain to lay their hands on the area causing pain, I prayed and God gave complete healing. Now there is no pain and I can bend my back.
