MINISTRIES
CHRISTALITE METHODIST HOME

The Christalite Methodist Home is a Methodist Welfare Services project run in partnership with Christ Methodist Church.  The Home cares for a special group of people – the destitute and the homeless who are referred to the Home by the MCDS.  CMH has a residential facility capable of caring for 200 persons.

The Home strives to create ‘a home within a home’ environment for the residents; to encourage residents to stay healthy by promoting exercises and activities; to provide them with a healthy, well-balanced diet; and to reach out to the residents with the love of Christ and bring them to the saving knowledge of Him.  Additionally, we seek to assist and encourage staff members of the Home to handle the residents with gentle care and compassion; and to create a happy and conducive working environment for staff to minister to the residents.

Activities: ‘Trash to Cash’ Project
Outreach programmes to non-Christian residents
Work with MCDS Probation Branch in providing opportunities to probationers [juvenile and young adults] to perform their community service in the Home
