    Help me learn more about...

    Jesus Christ and our Faith
If you are curious about what it is Christians believe, who we worship and what being part of a church is all about, you can speak with one of our pastors or lay ministry staff by calling our church office at 6345 3934, or you could join our Alpha Course, which runs twice a year on weekday evenings.

The Alpha Course is a comprehensive set of guided discussions designed to address the many questions or doubts that people have concerning specifics of the Christian faith. Call 6345 3934 or email info@cmc.org.sg for information on when the course runs.

    Family Counseling
    If you are…
    - facing difficulties in your marriage
    - have trouble communicating with your children or parents
    - feel regularly depressed, anxious, even suicidal
    - unable to break free from addictions
    - worried that you may have a disorder
    - always angry or fearful
    - looking for advice on how to counsel a friend or loved one

…you may choose to speak with our qualified pastoral counselor, Pastor David Ho either over the phone or in person. Please call Ms Mabel Wat at 6345 3934 for an appointment or email david.ho@cmc.org.sg.

    Phone-in Devotions
If you have a dialect-speaking loved one who might be home bound due to age, or has poor eyesight and cannot read the bible, do let them know that they can call 6346 5997 for 24-hour Hokkien bible devotions and songs.

Give them a chance to be encouraged by the Word of God, with passages read and expounded by our dialect ministries minister, Mr Alvin Teh.

    Joining a Care Group
What we call Care Groups (CGs) are clusters of people who share certain things in common (e.g. in the same age range; live in the same area or share a common interest) and make an effort to meet up regularly to encourage one another.

Typically 10 – 20 persons in size, our “CGs” are varied in personality, ambition, and meeting location.

If you are looking for a place to belong and friends to share your life with, please give Mr Earl Tan a call at 6345 3934 or email earl.tan@cmc.org.sg, and he will connect you with a few potential groups.

    Serving in Church
Glorify God with your service. We need your support! If you have been thinking about contributing to a ministry of the church and you need some help deciding which ministry will best suit your abilities, please consider joining our twice-a-year Serve 301 class to find out.

This class helps you discover how God has gifted and prepared you for service through your spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, personality, and unique experiences.

Alternatively you can surf this website and read more about the work and activities of our various ministries, or call/email Reverend David Gwee at 6345 3934 / david.gwee@cmc.org.sg to talk about current opportunities for serving.

    Overseas Mission Trips
Our church is active in reaching out to various groups in three countries and areas, developing our sister church in the village of Krang Svey in Cambodia; training pastors and church-planting in the state of Andrea Pradesh in South India and teaching English in East Asia.

    Methodist School Admission
If you would like to enroll your child at a Methodist School under Phase 2B, you may request for a letter confirming your membership here from the church office in June. You must be a current, attending member of Christ Methodist Church.

Please note that admission depends entirely on the school of your choice. Please speak with Ms Mabel Wat at our church office (Tel: 6345 3934), or email mabel.wat@cmc.org.sg.

    Financial Assistance
Christ Methodist Church offers monthly financial assistance to low-income or no-income families who are struggling to get by. This is done on a case-by-case basis, and anyone can apply, regardless of race or religion.

Information is kept strictly confidential and no commitment to the church is required. For details please contact Ms Suzanne Seah at 6345 3934 or email suzanne.seah@cmc.org.sg.

    Bursary Awards
To help give education opportunities to hardworking students who may not have the means to pursue their dreams, we award up to 50 academic bursaries each year to deserving applicants, regardless of race or religion. Application forms are given to selected schools in the East of Singapore.

Successful applicants who meet the criteria will be informed through their respective schools. For details please contact Ms Suzanne Seah at 6345 3934 or email suzanne.seah@cmc.org.sg.

    Baptism and Membership
The Baptism and Membership classes are conducted twice a year, usually on Saturday afternoons in both April and November. The ceremonies are usually conducted one week before Easter, and one week before Christmas.

If you wish to be baptized, join this church as a member or transfer your membership from another church.  You will need to submit your registration together with your personal testimony.  For information about the next scheduled Baptism and Membership Class, please refer to the Events Page.

    Wedding Arrangements
Our commitment is to help you build a God-centred marriage. Members wishing to be married in church need to give at least 9 months’ notice, go through a 8-session marriage preparation course and serve for 8 weeks in the Nursery on Sunday.

Both fiancé/fiancée must be BAPTISED Christians and at least one must be a member of Christ Methodist Church.

Please speak with Ms Mabel Wat at our church office (Tel: 6345 3934), or email mabel.wat@cmc.org.sg.
